At Spotlight Inclusion, we believe in our responsibility to the environment and community. We are dedicated to incorporating sustainable practices into our actions and practices.

Taking Responsibility

We take environmental sustainability seriously and recognize our responsibility to identify ways to reduce or offset our carbon footprint. We understand that the impact of climate change is felt most acutely in the global south and is created mostly by the behaviours of the global north. Our sustainable practices begin with understanding our carbon footprint.

Around 50% of our services are delivered virtually, and we prioritize public transportation when traveling to in-person sessions. As a 100% paperless organization, we use laptops instead of computers, which consume less energy.

Acknowledgment

The paperless and remote nature of our organisation require us to utilise servers in order to share information, which we acknowledge has an impact on the environment.

We are also aware that the electronic devices we use draw on precious materials and acknowledge the exploitation of vulnerable people to extract those materials.

We acknowledge that the use of public transport is not always possible due to travel routes and time constraints.
